The Servites have been guarding the monastery and pilgrimage church on Mariahilfberg in Gutenstein since 1672. Mariahilfberg has developed into a popular place of pilgrimage since 1661 through an alleged apparition of the Virgin Mary. Over the centuries, the complex was designed by the monks and is reminiscent of the Monte Senario, where you will find the original monastery of the order. A romantic way of the cross leads through the forest and through a religious landscape garden with chapels, grottos and the Raimundsitz, from which you have a great view of the Schneeberg.
