The Warme Pader, along with the Börnepader and Dammpader, belongs to the western headwaters. The water in the spring basin is always clear. The water temperature ranges between 14 and 16 degrees Celsius, which is a few degrees warmer than in the other spring basins. The life-size figures of the Paderborn washerwomen were installed by the Aachen artist Bonifatius Stirnberg.

The washerwomen stand right next to the “Warm Pader”, also known as the “Laundry Pad”, and are reminiscent of a piece of Paderborn's city history: washing and bleaching in local river water, which also served as a lively exchange of news.

The bronze figures are set up on three levels. Some women are on a jetty washing their laundry. Others stand on the stairs and talk animatedly. Another woman can be seen on the lawn with a watering can, watering her laundry for better bleaching. In addition to the washerwomen, there is a goose boy who tries to prevent his feathered animals from walking over the laundry that is laid out to dry in the meadow.
