A plaque dating back to 1471 commemorates the original church. This rather southeast-oriented church was consecrated on August 13, 1473 by the Augsburg suffragan Johannes Kerer. In 1684 the church was extended and baroqueized. Due to traffic conditions, the traditional easting of the church was abandoned and a Nordung made (Wikipedia).
