Chapel dedicated to Saint Anne and elaborated in traditional brick and sandstone style, going up to about 1700 when the characteristic, late baroque facade was created. The chapel was probably expanded around 1782. The most recent restoration campaign dates from 2001-2008.
The chapel is located on a triangular grassy square, on the corner of Bollestraat and Nieuwelaan, which was partially re-enclosed during the most recent restoration. The chapel is preceded by a cobbled forecourt and surrounded by a cobbled path.

The Chapel of St. Anne is built of brick and white stone in Baroque style. A cross window and an oval window have been cut into the graceful facade. In the gable, a stone bears the date 1700, the year in which the restoration period ended. The miter and the coat of arms above the door are those of the Grimberg abbot De Munck (1698-1712). There used to be a well here, which was considered sacred by the pagan peoples.
Legend has it that here, in this place, an advancing plague epidemic was stopped by Our Lady and Saint Anne. The statue in the chapel, depicting Saint Anne with Mary on her arm, who in turn carries the baby Jesus, has been invoked for centuries against fever. The original wooden chapel was replaced in 1639 by a stone place of worship. The last restoration dates from 1959 and since 1979 the Chapel of St. Anne has been a protected monument.

According to a legend, a wooden statue was found in a wood shed on the 't Hof farm in Veylst. This is what Mara's mother represented: Saint Anna. She carried Mary on her arm, who in turn carried Jesus. The statue was first placed in several wooden chapels, but eventually a stone chapel was added in 1639. This would be linked to the plague epidemic from which many people in the region had been spared. (and attributed to this statue).
