    The gondola takes you comfortably from the Seegrube up to the Hafelekar mountain station. From here you have a wonderful view of the Karwendel and the Inn Valley. Information on prices and travel times can be found here: nordkette.com.

        On 15 July 1927, the construction of the aerial tramway by the company Adolf Bleichert & Co. from Leipzig-Gohlis, the world's leading cable car construction company, began on 9 July 1928, the first, 2,885 m long section Hungerburg Seegrube ( 1905 m above sea level). On 21 July of the same year, the second, upper, 752 m long section Seegrube-Hafelekar was opened.

                  After you have boarded the Hungerburgbahn in the old town of Innsbruck and changed to the Seegrubenbahn at the Hungerburg, you are now standing on the Seegrube. This is where the last cable car up to the top of Innsbruck begins, the Hafelekarbahn.
