산악자전거 라이딩
Corporal Charles Devisser of the Cyclist Battalion was one of the first Belgian soldiers to die when the German Wehrmacht invaded Belgium on May 10, 1940. On the day in question, he stood guard at post PD25bis (you can drive past the remains on the RAVeL path), between the Elsenborn and Küchelscheid camps. While Charles allowed his colleagues to escape, he remained seriously wounded at the security post. He was taken to the hospital in Bütgenbach, but later succumbed to his injuries in the Schleiden hospital. His unit honors their comrade with an annual wreath-laying ceremony.

This memorial was built in honor of Cpl. Devisser built on the N669 road from the roundabout at Camp Elsenborn (B) in the direction of Kalterherberg (D) - Sourbrodter Strasse/Rurstrasse. He fell here on May 10, 1940.
