          The Kesselberg is 662 m above sea level. NHN after the Kalmit with 673 m the second highest mountain in the Palatinate Forest. A natural monument on the Kesselberg are the so-called Gletschermulden, which are red sandstone rocks with round depressions. There are also interpretations that the troughs are to be interpreted as Celtic sacrificial bowls or glacial pots.
