The (also on not so nice days well walkable) circular route around the Lünersee is easy to create in 2.5-3,5 hours. I recommend making the tour in a clockwise direction ... so you have a short, crisp climb at the beginning and the rest of the route is actually only downhill, or on a plane. Advantage: You have the sun then most of the time in the back when you look at the lake and take pictures. The crystal clear, turquoise blue of the lake is a beautiful contrast to the lush green of the meadows and the gray of the rugged cliff of the Schesaplana.

When the weather is nice, the mass tourism is pure! Nevertheless, a trip is always worthwhile.

The Lünersee was once a natural mountain lake. The construction of a dam in 1959 transformed it into a reservoir with a capacity of 78.3 million m3. When full, the lake is 139 m deep. The circular trail around the lake is largely family-friendly and easy to walk.

The circular path around the lake leads on a gravel path and is therefore also suitable for families.
