The Schlosspark Schwanberg charms visitors in every season. It is one of the few palace parks that was created at the beginning of the twentieth century. A walk through the eight-hectare park is an excursion into the history of garden art, because the stylistic devices and design conceptions of the twenties are atmospherically staged here.

Between 2009 and 2013, comprehensive renovation measures were carried out, securing the preservation of Schwanberg Palace Park as an important garden monument in the long term.

The park was built at a time when garden architecture was characterized by a spirit of optimism and new trends. The park designs at this time extended mainly to the creation of public parks in large cities and representative villa gardens. A palace park in which the examination of the new design theories of these years can be experienced so clearly was certainly one of the great exceptions from a garden artistic point of view. In 1911, Alexander Graf zu Faber-Castell bought the Schwanberg property and began expanding it. 1919 to 1921 the palace park is laid out. Möhl & Schnizlein, a well-known office for garden architecture, was commissioned to plan the palace park.
