    The Saint-Paul church in Strasbourg (“Paulskirche” in German) is located at the intersection of the Zorn and Mullenheim quays, on the banks of the Aare and the Ill.

    A former Protestant garrison church, it was built at the end of the 19th century during the annexation. She is now assigned to Reformed worship.

    It is part of the “imperial axis” of Neustadt formed by Avenue de la Liberté which connects Place de la République and Place de l’Université. Its two spiers reaching a height of 76 meters dominate the surrounding area.

    The Saint-Paul church has been classified as a historic monument since May 4, 19981.

                The Protestant Paul's Church (Église Saint-Paul) is a neo-Gothic religious building in Strasbourg in the Neustadt, the so-called "German Quarter". The church is one of the most photographed subjects in the city due to its spectacular location at the southern tip of the northern Strasbourg Ill island of Sainte-Hélène (Saint Helena) in the middle of the widest part of the river.

                  This church in Strasbourg was dedicated to Saint Paul. He was initially an opponent of the Christian movement and was not called to the apostleship by Jesus Christ during his lifetime like the other apostles, but was only converted later with the famous "Damascus experience" (see Acts of the Apostles, Chapter 9).
                  The attribute with which he is usually depicted in paintings or as a statue is the sword with which he was executed. According to the Roman law of the time, such a sentence was a "privilege" (quick death and not, like other types of execution, associated with a long, painful death struggle) that was available to the citizens of Rome.
                  Peter, together with Paul, is also known as the "prince of the apostles"; their common memorial day in the calendar of saints is June 29th.
