Approach this point from Rommerode and not as suggested by Komoot from the other side of the Hirschberg (from the Pfaffenberg). There is no way from there.
Here on the Hirschberg is the highest point of the Kaufunger Forest (643.4 m above sea level). It is located in the middle of a forest and was beautifully prepared by the Rommerode cultural community. Two sponsored benches to rest are available. Stones were placed around the main point, marking the cardinal directions.
Unfortunately, the ideal way to get there is not marked on komoot. It is best to follow the wooden signs "Zum Hirschberg" from the refuge above Rommerode. Some of the marked komoot paths are not (or no longer) available or are not mobile!
