    The Südwestkirchhof Stahnsdorf Cemetery is undoubtedly one of the most outstanding international burial sites, alongside Venice's San Michele Island, Vienna's Central Cemetery, and Père Lachaise in Paris.             The grave of the language teacher and founder of the language and dictionary publisher Gustav Langenscheidt (1832 - 1895) was relocated from the old St. Matthäus churchyard in Berlin to the southwest churchyard of Stahnsdorf in 1939 as part of the plans for the imperial capital "Germania".
