Originally opened in 1916, the imposing two-storey wooden building served as a bathhouse and offered luxurious treatments such as warm seawater baths and oxygen therapy. The wooden decorations and the raised construction on the sea side in particular give the house a special appeal and are reminiscent of the heyday of the Baltic seaside resorts. During the Soviet era it was converted into a spa house and maintained its reputation as an excellent treatment facility. Today the building stands as a silent witness to a glamorous era and is a popular photo spot for visitors to Jūrmala.
