The shrine itself is not so special, but the magnificent and very busy park, which is located on a hillside and playground for many children and invites you to a picnic. In addition, the many trees in the summer donate enough shade to cool off a bit.

The Yasaka Shrine, or Yasaka-jinja as it is called in Japanese (“jinja” means shrine), is absolutely stunning with its bright red and white colors!
