On the rock there is a cross close to the abyss.

From Wernersberg, the Wachtfels is quickly accessible via a steep zigzag path.

The Wachtfels can be climbed at any time of year and it always offers an overwhelming panoramic view.

If you venture up to the cross, it offers a panoramic view:

To the east over Trifels, Anebos and Scharfeneck,
to the south the deep view over Wernersberg and in the background the Geierstein
to the west you can see the Runden Hut in the forest.
