Bad Doberan and the associated district Heiligendamm is part of the Rostock district in Mecklenburg Western Pomerania.
There are many sights in the cozy small town such as : the Molli narrow-gauge railway, the Münster monastery, the horse racing track and the Möckelhaus, which houses the town and spa museum.
The district of Heiligendamm is the oldest German seaside resort.
