If you drive past the outskirts of Sögel, you will see a church with a 30 m high wooden steeple. The church looks different than usual: with turned columns, small roofs and richly decorated with religious carvings. The interior of the orthodox church will offer space for around 200 believers.
We read on the Internet that the components are made and assembled by hand in a similar way to prefabricated construction in Romania. Then they are taken apart again to make their way to Sögel, where they are reassembled under expert guidance.
The church is scheduled to be completed by Easter 2023 and handed over to its intended purpose.
