    Spello is an enchanting town to visit all year round and is included in the list of the "Most Beautiful Villages in Italy". Spello is best known for the flower displays created every year on the occasion of Corpus Domini. The streets of the village are covered with paintings recreated with petals and flowers created by artists and inhabitants of the village. The village is still surrounded by well-preserved Roman walls, in which three gates open: the Urbica gate, the Consular gate, from the 1st century BC, and the Venus gate.

      Spello is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Italy and not without reason. As an ancient center of Umbrian origin, Hispellum was in the 1st century BC. It was an important Roman community in the 1st century BC and had the title “Beautiful Julia Colony”.
