Open daily from 9:15 a.m.
Closed on Tuesdays

Winter season (December 26th to April 30th)
Closed Monday to Thursday
Open on weekends
(open daily during Bavarian school holidays)

Very quaint and cozy inn to stop by. The Kaiserschmarren is sensational :-)
Outside there is a mega panoramic view. Definitely worth a trip.

The Berggasthaus Herzogstand is located at an altitude of 1,575 meters and offers a great opportunity to stop off during a hike.

In summer and winter, you can enjoy the view on the large sun terrace or treat yourself to Bavarian delicacies and delicious cakes in the cozy parlor.

If you want to stay longer on the Herzogstand, you can also spend the night in the hut. You can find more information at berggasthaus-herzogstand.de.

Just 10 minutes from here, you can easily shorten the route with the Herzogstandbahn, which takes you to Walchensee with a fantastic view of the valley.

The Herzogstandbahn is in operation from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 3.45 p.m. On weekends, the Herzogstandbahn is in operation from 9 a.m. to 4.15 p.m.

Great innsvmchaft and very well equipped for Corona. The staff is super friendly and the food is very good. It is a bit more expensive, but on which mountain pasture it is not. Everything has to go up first;)

Friendly crews and reasonable prices. Nice place to rest after Herzogstand. (Or a stop before the peak.) Usually a long queue outside the Hütte. The views over Walchensee on the terrace are the best ingredients for food.

If it storms and snows in winter, the Herzogstand house is still a good place to warm up - even if it has just closed, there is at least slipstream :)
