"Where Hagen stabbed Siegfried, a fresh, clear spring springs from cool stones. Accompanied by moss and ferns, it flows towards the valley in the distance, until it suddenly disappears into the depths as a small waterfall.”
The picturesque and romantic source can easily be associated with the figures of the Nibelung. It is entwined with ferns and ivy. If you continue the hiking trail in the direction of Beuchen, you walk through a forest covered with moss-covered boulders: this could actually be the stage for the famous Nibelungen saga.
The water of the strata spring springs from a small cave in the red sandstone of the Odenwald and immediately falls down an approximately 3 m high waterfall. The water supply fluctuates.
A shelter with a wonderful view makes a rest recommended.
