The Nuremberg Zoo: The aim here is to give the animals a home that corresponds to their species. The extensive grounds are wonderful to walk around - you just have to take your time to discover the individual animals! ;-)

With 65 hectares, the Nuremberg zoo is one of the largest zoos in Europe and the second largest in Germany. We only walked a small part today. Which is also perfect ... you have to come back again.
It has only been in this location since 1939. Before that, it was just a wooded rocky landscape, which can still be seen in various places today.

Tiergarten and zoos always pull. Our 5 year old is getting critical. The poor animals are locked up, aren't they papa?
