A fantastic hike even if it's foggy. Queen Victoria's holiday cottage is amazing. You can`t visit, but just to walk around it is so nice. The bothe in the back is open so if it's raining or so and you still like to have a picnic you can do it inside of the bothy. Don't foget to take some coins with you, you have to pay a fee and it's not possible to do it by a card. In the middle of the way you have to cross a creek or so, so I would recommend water resistent shoes. Was helpfull for me:-).

The journey is dragging and encouraging. One of the few places in Scotland that wasn't crowded. You could count the people on site. One half is a bit demanding due to the scree (concentration, step resistance), the other half is a bit more chilled, but you have a little less view of the lake. You have to cross the lake about halfway. To do this, you have to walk very narrow stands.
