                      Château St. Gerlach, formerly a monastery (12th century) of Premonstratensians and then from the 14th century until its abolition in 1795 as a pen for noble women.
                      In the 19th century, the monastery was converted into a castle-like country house comprising a rectangular main building, a coach house and a castle farm.
                      Since 1997, the complex on Joseph Corneli Allee has housed a luxurious hotel, restaurant and conference center with a beautiful sculpture garden. The building complex, including the Sint-Gerlachuskerk and the surrounding gardens, includes several national monuments and is part of the Buitengoed Geul & Maas.
