The Church of the Holy Spirit is an architectural highlight of modernism. It was built in 1961 according to a design by Herbert Rimpl and is considered one of the boldest churches in Hesse.

The Wiesbadener Kurier called the Holy Spirit Church in Wiesbaden-Biebrich the "boldest church in Hesse". Church President Martin Niemöller spoke of a "landmark in the history of church building". And in 1961, the architect Herbert Rimpl actually set standards: 4,000 cubic meters of wood for the formwork, 50 tons of steel and iron for the reinforcement, in order to cast the building in concrete directly on site. The basic design form is a softly flowing parabola, which is varied several times in the church, bell tower and furnishings. The soaring interior, decorated in light blue and white, is intended to be reminiscent of the vault of heaven. But it is above all the red and blue tones of the large windows that symbolize the Holy Spirit.
