Gornergrat chapel "Bernhard von Aosta"
Since the Kulmhotel was founded on the Gornergrat, Sunday masses have been read in the hotel's dining room in summer. The bishop expressed the wish for a chapel. In 1950, the then mayor, Othmar Julen, and pastor Gregor Brantschen followed this request and had the house of God built. It is owned by the civic community.

St. Bernhard consecrated. It has a rough, gray plaster on the outside, adapted to the environment. To the right of the entrance door is a niche in the wall, but without a statue. The interior has whitewashed walls, a wooden ceiling and stone slabs for the floor. The windows are without stained glass, and to the right of the entrance is a confessional. The altarpiece consists of relief-like, carved wooden figures, St. Bernhard in the middle, surrounded by St. Mauritius (left) and St. Theodul (right). The end of the altarpiece is a crown of alpine flowers. The tabernacle is decorated with grape tendrils and the altar panel is made of stone slabs with a cross.
