The Winzeralm run by Jörg Zimmermann and his family is a resting place for hikers and cyclists on the highest point of the Bänkelches route in the middle of vineyards. Be a guest, you have an exceptional panoramic view that goes far beyond the borders of Rheinhessen. The view stretches from the Soonwald over the Rheingau to the Odenwald and Palatinate Forest. Very nice area for hikers and mountain bikers. When the flag is blowing, wine is served at the Winzeralm with small snacks. There are enough tables and benches here. The view up here is the finest. So let's go upstairs and just enjoy

Nice rest area with several tables and benches as well as a sun lounger.
You should be able to see into the Odenwald here.

In August 2023, a 0.2 l glass of cool grape juice spritzer cost €2.
A little less on a hot summer day, but definitely more refreshing than the warm water you carry with you.
Smaller snacks such as pretzels are also available here, but the landlady expressly pointed out to us that the food we brought with us can also be eaten at the tables. So it's an ostrich economy.
