              The clock tower, which is a listed building, is the landmark of the municipality of Neu-Bamberg. It was once one of the three gates of the city fortifications. The village owes its existence to the New Baumburg (Novo Boinburc), which was founded in 1253 by the Raugrafs and whose ruins still characterize the townscape today. Restored half-timbered houses, farms, gardens and the old water house give the town center on the Burgberg its unique charm.

                In Neu Bamberg, more than just the castle ruins are worth a visit. Gastronomic recommendations: The Junkersmühle (mill) and the Alte Ölmühle (old oil mill) (the latter is located outside the direction of Wölstein and only open on weekends). Those looking for challenging climbs on gravel paths can head to the Winzeralm (wine pasture) not far from Neu Bamberg. The reward is a cool glass of wine. (Open whenever the flag is flying on the hilltop.)
