A lot of money is needed for the castle renovation. The Rauhenstein ruins have been closed for years and may not be entered. The palace, the courtyard and the castle walls as well as the outer tower must be secured. It was agreed with the owner that he would reimburse the city for these costs if the ruins were no longer open to the public.

Wikipedia: The Rauhenstein castle ruins are the ruins of a hilltop castle in the Helenental northeast of the Schwechat, in the local area of Baden near Vienna. Like the neighboring Rauheneck castle ruins, it was probably built in the 12th century by the Tursen knights. It was repeatedly inhabited by robber barons and often destroyed and rebuilt.
