The airport Berlin-Tempelhof was one of the first commercial airports in Germany and took up the regular service in 1923. It was until its closure on 30 October 2008, Berlin-Tegel and Berlin-Schönefeld one of three international airports in the Greater Berlin.

Since 2010 the Tempelhofer Feld has been a popular destination for athletes of all kinds of sports, families and event organizers.

Until its closure on October 30, 2008 [4] it was one of Berlin-Tegel and Berlin-Schönefeld three international airports in the greater Berlin area and was called the Central Airport. In 2007, around 350,000 passengers were handled there. "
