The small village of Lauterbrunnen lies in the idyllic valley of the same name. From the bridge over the Weisse Lütschine river, you have a fantastic view towards Lauterbrunnen's landmark, the Staubbach Falls. It's the highest free-falling waterfall in Switzerland and impressive even from a distance. A short detour directly to the falls is worthwhile, as in summer you can view them from behind via a gallery – free of charge.
Lauterbrunnen itself is definitely worth a break. Whether just for a quick stop or a longer stay is entirely up to you.
