Great viewpoint over Altenkunstadt with view of Plassenburg Kulmbach and Veste Coburg. There are not many places where you can see the two large fortresses / Burganlangen. On foot and with bike worth a stop!

Not only traces of the Celtic era can be found on the "Korches," as it is called by the locals, but rare plants such as the Kordigast whitebeam are also native here. From its plateau, the Grosser Kordigast offers, on a clear day, distant views as far as the Franconian Forest and the Fichtel Mountains. Family-friendly hiking trails lead along the "Schlauwienix" nature trail to the popular "Spielwienix" adventure playground.

The Kordigast is the northernmost foothill of the Frankenalb with the two corner points, the Großer Kordigast (536 m) with a wonderful view of the Obermaintal and the Kleine Kordigast (538 m) with the legendary rock group of the Steinerne Hochzeit.
