Too bad that so many pictures have been added here that have nothing to do with the actual highlight (the sheep pen). There is an extra highlight for the Heidegarten. Furthermore, this highlight was created twice (I already reported it). Unfortunately, always reporting all the wrong pictures so that they are removed from the highlight is always quite tedious with so many wrong pictures, so it would be nice if more Komoot users made sure to only upload the right pictures for the right highlight.

The Heidegarten is a freely accessible area that can be visited free of charge around the clock. There are enough parking spaces. Around 180 different types of heather grow here, and one is always in bloom. There are over 150,000 plants here. The best view is from the observation tower of the heather rondelle and a small stream. At the sheepfold next to the Heide kiosk you can watch the shepherd pulling the Heidschnucken out and in every day from Easter to October at 10.30 a.m. and at 5 p.m. The herd of Heidschnucken is a popular photo opportunity.
