                                            The Wümmeberg, at 104 m above sea level, is a hill in the Lüneburg Heath nature reserve. From the lookout point you have a wonderful view over the heath, the Surhorn opposite and the valley of the Wümme river. This is where the Wümme rises and later flows into the Weser.
                                            Two benches are available at the lookout point so you can let your gaze wander over the expanse of the heath. Germany's most beautiful hiking trail, the Heidschnuckenweg, runs along the opposite slope.
                                            The Wümmeberg is part of a beautiful, 13 km long hiking trail called "Only flying is more beautiful". Here, Wümmeberg, Surhorn and Tütsberg are connected under the O1 marker.
