Coming from the north on a dirt road near Wiesa you can experience this view of the Königshain mountains. The path is not very busy and can actually be mastered without great fitness. However, up to this view there is an incline to be mastered which inexperienced demands a little bit something.

View over the Koenigshain mountains.
The Koenigshainer Berge is a granite area in which free-standing rock formations formed by erosion protruded from the earth. The area encloses the municipality of Königshain and is about 50 km² in size and largely forested. Some impressive rock formations are still well preserved, many of the granite rocks were removed by granite quarrying, resulting in beautiful water-filled quarries such as the Firstensteinbruch, the Hamannbruch and the Thadenbruch.
