The Schillerstein is a beautiful vantage point over the Blautal. There is also the transmitter Blaubeuren, a transmitter of the Südwestrundfunk.

Nice view from the lookout on the Schillerstein.
Not easy to find when the trees are leafy. Keep slightly left at the transmission mast and follow the path around or over the small elevation, then you are almost directly in front of it.
Incidentally, the SWR operates the Blaubeuren transmitter on the Schillerstein, Germany's weakest broadcasting station.

Yes, finding the Schillerstein was something of a guessing game. But it was immediately clear to me that the transmitter mast is guaranteed NOT to be the Schillerstein. So it was all the more overwhelming to stand on this viewing platform with the “gate” and the two “turrets”. The monument to Schiller is also beautifully designed. You have a wonderful view of the Blautal, towards Ulm and the Rusenschloß. The climb is worth it!
