"The Reitzendorf windmill is a former windmill in Reitzendorf, a district of Schönfeld-Weißig, which belongs to the Saxon state capital Dresden. The mill, built in 1861, is protected as a cultural monument. Because of its location, it is also known as the windmill near Zaschendorf.
The Reitzendorf windmill is a conical tower Dutch windmill about 14 meters high with a diameter of eight meters at the base and 6.30 meters at the hood. The four wings were designed as door wings and each measured eight meters in length." - de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reitzendorfer_Windm%C3%BChle

The Reitzendorf windmill, which was built in 1861, is protected as a cultural monument. It served as a grain mill and was later converted into a Dutch windmill. During a storm on October 31, 1919, the blades of the windmill were destroyed, and the shaft head also fell victim to the weather in the following years. In order to maintain operations, a diesel engine was installed by the miller at the time. The mill was in operation until 1927. After that the windmill was left to decay.
