      City Hall (with rear extension to Jahnstrasse); Representative town hall building in a market location, significant in terms of local history and urban planning, characterizing the townscape due to the high town hall tower, interesting from an architectural point of view due to the existing building fabric from the 16th century, arched portal with rods, arched passageway, three curtain arched windows on the back preserved.
      Original town hall building from 1505, only the enclosing walls remained after the great town fire of 1806, these were reused during the reconstruction in 1862, extension: Jahnstraße 2 (Flstk. 6).

        Roßwein is a small town with approx. 7400 inhabitants in the district of Central Saxony.
        "The territory of Roßwein lies in the Central Saxon mountainous region, on both sides of the Freiberger Mulde. The core of the eponymous city is on the gently rising terrain on the right bank of the Mulden." - de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ro%C3%9Fwein

        On the inconspicuous market square is the town hall from 1862, the adjoining museum of local history with a portal from 1529 and a replica of the Saxon post office column built in 2000.
