Great architecture, beautiful, modern furnishings, fine dining - the Schiestlhaus has been showing for years how a hut can offer a top offer despite (almost) exclusive supply by helicopter! (Since many huts with much better supply options can look a lot!)

At peak times, however, the hut is also well filled. Reservation and, of course, if necessary. Timely cancellation therefore highly recommended! Acknowledge shortly before, often one is asked e.g. bring certain vegetables or similar fresh goods.

The Schiestlhaus (2154m) is the highest refuge in the Hochschwab massif and lies about 600 meters northeast below the Hochschwab summit. The modern passive house with friendly ambience is the ideal place to stay for multi-day tours in the Hochschwab massif.
