    It's beautiful how the clear water rushes over the mossy rocks. It's not one of the big waterfalls, but it's enchanting nonetheless.

                        Due to the wild and romantic appearance of the gorge, the Teufelsloch was already a destination for Bayreuth residents in the 19th century. According to the entries in Cosima's diary, Richard Wagner also often visited here and stopped off at the forest hut.
                        The construction of the two-arched sandstone bridge over the deep gorge made it possible to access the tourist restaurant from the direction of Oberwaiz. The Teufelsloch has been a nature reserve since 1941.
