The station is located on route km 63.5 of the Eastern Railway in the Gusow district south of the Gusow town center. The center of the city of Seelow is over four kilometers further south. It is located in the Verkehrsverbund Berlin-Brandenburg (VBB) on the Berlin-Küstrin route

The Seelow-Gusow train station on the Ostbahn is over a kilometer south of the actual town and four kilometers from Seelow. Why it was called "Seelow-Gusow" in the mid-90s is not clear to me, as Seelow itself has a train station on the RB60 and Gusow does not belong to Seelow either.
The Gusow station went into operation on October 1, 1866 under the name Gusow as the provisional end point of the line from Küstrin. A year later, the continuation of the line to Berlin was opened, with which the Ostbahn was completely completed. On the north side of the track system is the former station building from the time the line was built, most of which is no longer used today. There was even a train station restaurant here.
