Cernunnos, the horned one, is the Celtic god of the forest and animals. He holds his attributes, the snake and the torque (necklace), in his hands. He can be seen as a silhouette in the semi-darkness of the undergrowth.
This work of art is part of the "Celtic Sculpture Trail".

A large-scale cultural object was completed in late summer 2014. This is a sculpture path that connects the replica Celtic village in Steinbach with the once real oppidum on the Donnersberg. Anyone who travels the 7 kilometers on the "Palatinate High Trail" (marked with the blue and white cloud) and a section of the local road between the two points mentioned will experience not only the enjoyment of nature but also special "encounters" on the paths lined with many deciduous trees (not suitable for strollers). Whether it's a horse woman, a forest god or "fake" Celtic artifacts, it's worth taking a closer look. In total, there are 13 sculptures to marvel at. These were created in the summer of 2013 and 2014 at two-week sculpture symposiums.

If you hike on the Donnersberg, from the Adlerbogen, you will reach a beautifully laid out Celtic sculpture path. You pass a total of 13 stations, which are explained in detail by information boards. I recommend the route between Adlerbogen and Ludwigsturm past the ring wall, which you can do well in a circular hike.
