The Hotel Wallackhaus above Heiligenblut offers accommodations at 2,304 meters above sea level, directly on Austria's highest road, the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, in summer, and directly on the slopes in winter. It offers breathtaking views of Austria's highest mountain, the Grossglockner.
The Wallackhaus was built in 1930 as a canteen for construction workers on the Grossglockner Road, south of the tunnel at the Hochtor Pass. The hotel was named after Franz Wallack, the engineer commissioned to plan the road.

The Wallackhaus is a very special place in winter. The chef and his team present the hotel in a hospitable way with the best cuisine while outside the interplay of the forces of nature passes by the panorama windows! A place to be.
