Cape Fréhel is one of the most magical places in Côtes-d’Armor, if not Brittany. Its cliffs, in variations of red, gray or black, dominate the sea at a height of 70 meters. At their feet, the Atlantic strikes vehemently on the reef which, despite the pain, displays a magnificent stoicism. On a clear day, the Channel Islands are sometimes visible.

Beautiful view over the blue water of the ocean. At the end of July the heather is in bloom and the cliffs are covered with purple and yellow flowers. You can also walk the dog here, provided it is on a leash.

It's worth parking for free further away. At the cape you can only pay for 3 hours, which is not long enough for a trip to Fort Latte.

Cap Fréhel is one of the most magical places in Brittany where you can experience the impressive nature in all its splendour. The steep cliffs in shades of red, grey and black rise 70 metres above the sea and on clear days you can even see the Channel Islands. The hike is particularly beautiful in summer when the heather blooms in purple and yellow colours and the landscape is immersed in a sea of colours. Remember that there are no restaurants directly on the cape, so pack enough provisions. Dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on a leash. Take time to enjoy the view from different points and don't forget that the paths through the heather are well signposted to protect the fragile nature. The view of the open sea and the crashing waves is an unforgettable experience that you shouldn't miss.
