- we are at the famous park lakes of Stuttgart (stuttgart-tourist.de/a-baerensee-stuttgart)

- this path is at the "end" of the bear lake
- "Shortcut" (surefootedness advantageous) if you do not want to go around the lakes on the wide forest roads
- Condition of the route depending on the weather and the season
- here the tributary "" Bernhardsbach "" flows into the "Bärensee"

- there are a total of 3 lakes: the "Bärensee", the "Neue See" and the "Pfaffensee"
- All 3 lakes were artificially created by order of the Dukes of Württemberg
- This should secure the Stuttgart drinking water supply
- "Pfaffensee" - 1566
- "Bear Lake" - 1618
- "New Lake" - 1833

- The lakes are "fed" by the tributaries "Katzenbach", "Steinbach", "Bernhardsbach" and "Glems"

- is located in the NSG "Red and Wild Boar Park with Pfaffenwald"

- Highly frequented when the weather is nice, on the weekends and during the holiday season
- Recreation area close to the city

One of the three lakes is Bärensee, which is a reservoir. By order of Duke Christoph, the Pfaffensee was artificially dammed in 1566 to supply drinking water, followed by the Bärensee 50 years later and the Neuer See then 200 years later.
