    The Oberkaseralm invites you to take a break before continuing to the lakes. These are spectacular and worth a visit. Definitely worth the effort.

                                  Now in October, at the end of the season, the atmosphere was peaceful yet welcoming. The food was still excellent, and the accommodations comfortable. The climb to the Schwarzkopf was still manageable, even though there were already some patches of snow.
