The Sörgelhütte was built in summer 1985 by the Wanderfreunde Kipfenberg. The hut offers a covered picnic area and a wonderful view of the Birktal and Kipfenberg.

The Sörgelhütte stands on a dolomite rock plateau. It is very beautiful and gives the visitor a beautiful view of the Brandplatz and Kipfenberg.

A very beautifully located rest hut above the Birktal. The fact that the hut is not on a crowded hiking trail is noticeable: very clean and hardly any graffiti/carvings. Everyone who visits the hut should treat it with respect so that the Kipfenberg hiking friends can enjoy their hut for a long time.

We were at the hut today.
It is clean and the view invites you to linger....
We went up with two children aged 6 and 10. They shouldn't be any smaller, as you hike partly on logging roads/unpaved meadow paths.
The descent is also a bit challenging, as it is a fairly steep path. So only do it when the weather is nice.
