The Wertheim House is a half-timbered house built around 1600 at the Fahrtor in Frankfurt am Main. It is the only house in Frankfurt's old town that has been preserved in its original condition with an exposed half-timbered structure that survived the air raids on Frankfurt am Main almost unscathed!

From the 17th to the 19th century, Haus Werthym served as a customs house and guard house for the city guard.

The old customs house was built in 1775.

During the coalition war between the German Empire, Austria, Prussia, England, Holland and Spain against France, on April 22, 1779 there was a battle in the area between the Berger Warte and the customs house on Heiligenstock.

A bullet hit the house, henceforth it bore the name "Kanonenhäuschen".

The ball is now again attached to the wall next to the front door.

On October 11, 1790, the Hessian landgrave received Emperor Leopold II and his entourage as well as his son and Archduke Franz (later the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation) at the Heiligenstock customs house.
