    Fleetwith Pike is one of my favourite Wainwrights. My favourite way to approach the summit is from Gatesgarth farm. It's a steep direct route up the nose of the fell. The views on the descent over Buttermere, Crummock Water and Loweswater in the distance are stunning.

          I was doing a biggish loop around Buttermere and up over Hindscarth ridge so came up via Honnister pass. Fleetwith Pike was my last Nuttall out of five for the day. The views down to Buttermere valley and beyond are picture postcard stuff. A superb ending to a world class hike.

            Great hike up the edge to the summit. There are other routes too all with beautiful views

              Lovely ascent but very tough long descent if reached from Haystacks. If I was to hike to the top again, I do a one pike look, ascending from the path I came down from and descending from the path between Fleethwith Pike and Haystacks.
