We had very nice weather, a good view of the highest mountain peaks in the Alps. If you are up there on the "Aiguille du Midi", I definitely recommend a trip on the Panoramic Mont Blanc. Unique 👀👍

The Télépherique de l’Aiguille du Midi cable car was opened in 1955. It leads from Chamonix to the top of the rock in two sections. The rope hangs from the middle station on the Plan de l’Aiguille (2310 m) without intermediate supports for kilometers and 1467 meters high to the mountain station. The train first goes up over the Les Pelerins glacier before heading up the north side of the Aiguille du Midi. At the opening it was considered the highest cable car in the world (height of the mountain station: 3777 m). The railway has now lost this title, but is still the second highest cable car in Europe after the cable car to the Klein Matterhorn in Zermatt.

The rapid ascent often leads to headaches and other symptoms of altitude sickness in sensitive people.

The technically unique small cabin lift Vallée Blanche leads from the Aiguille du Midi over the Glacier du Géant to the Pointe Helbronner (Italy) at 3462 m.
