From Dagebuller harbor you can reach the island of AMRUM and FÖHR with the big car ferries. In the vicinity there is a large parking lot and a direct railway connection at the ferry terminal. A very large (free) viewing platform offers a breathtaking view over the harbor, the town, the hinterland and the island of Föhr and the Halligen (Langeness).

The viewing platform at the jetty offers a magnificent panoramic view of the Wadden Sea and the inland dike. Climbing the platform is definitely worthwhile.

The quickest way to get from Dagebüll to Amrum is by ferry without stopping in Föhr. The journey only takes 90 minutes with the direct connection. With a stopover in Föhr, the journey time is extended by 30 minutes and then amounts to 2 hours.
The journey from Dagebüll to Föhr takes 50 minutes.

Most holidaymakers travel to the island of Föhr via the ferry port in Dagebüll on the mainland. The Wyker Dampfschiffs-Reederei ferries run from Dagebüll all year round and several times a day to the island of Föhr and on to Amrum. The departures are independent of the tide and only deviate from the timetable in the event of extremely low tide or severe flooding.
The ferry crossing to Föhr takes approximately 40 to 45 minutes. The four W.D.R. ferries, which are used on the route between Dagebüll, Wyk auf Föhr and Wittdün on Amrum, can bring 50 to 75 cars and up to 1,200 passengers per trip to the islands.

Finally on the North Sea and the MS Schlewig-Holstein. At the driveway on the ferry everything is super organized. The cars are crowded close together. Who like us has a big dog, should let him on the ship for a short time in the car (except in the summer !!!). Ultimately, he is only an hour short of alone and the crush in the passenger area you do not have to do it to him.
